Bailey Coach of York, Pa., Joins Trailways Brand

Bailey Trailways “goes the extra mile in style”

Fairfax, VA – August 31, 2016 – Bailey Coach of York, PA, a charter transportation company that prides itself on “going the extra mile in style,” has joined Trailways Transportation System, Inc., announced Eva M. Hotard, Trailways President and Chief Executive Officer.

Bailey Trailways transports 90,000 persons annually throughout the U.S. and Canada with its 26-vehicle fleet including 55-, 47- and 26-passenger motorcoaches, deluxe sedans, vans and a sport utility vehicle.

The only transportation company in York County certified by the Department of Defense to transport the U.S. military, the company also focuses on travel for college sports teams and K-12 schools. In addition, it offers shuttle service to area hotels and convention sites; day trips to local attractions; plus door-to-door service to airports, train stations and cruise terminals in the Washington, D.C., to New York City region.

Bailey Trailways is a sister company of Travel Time Travel Agency. Ranked by sales volume in the top 10 percent of U.S. travel agencies, the latter is one of the East Coast’s largest travel management, group and vacation travel planning agencies. It serves primarily business clientele.

John W. Bailey serves as president of Bailey Trailways and vice president of Travel Time Travel. He and Rodney Sechrist, Bailey Trailways vice president, cofounded the charter coach company in 1998. His father, Fred, and uncle, Glenn, cofounded the travel agency as Bailey Travel Service in 1949. Glenn became attracted to the travel industry while organizing a train trip for schoolchildren from York to the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair.
